How To Create An Installer Of A Software Using Iexpress (100% Work)

Now a day's most of the people over internet want's to create software.Some people tries to develop software.There are many types of software over internet.Most of them are installer based program. Also it is a common thing to create an installer for a software but it is not easy to create one unless anyone know the trick.Most of the people want to know how to create an installer of a software.So,today I am going to share with my readers how to create an installer of a software using Iexpress.

At first let me discuss what is IEXPRESS

Iexpress is a program which is added by windows during installation.Most of us don't know about this software.It is built-in in windows operating system.It is situated on system32.This program is very handy to install a software.This is a pre-installed software by Microsoft.The specialty about this software is anyone can use this software free for cost.Using this tool one can create a basic software with it. So,this tool is really helpful for our purpose.

This software is not installed in Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME.

You can find this tool installed on Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.

How to create an installer using IEXPRESS:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 

 Here's a step by step guide to create an installer using IEXPRESS.Follow this step by step guide.

• Press win+run and then type  iexpress.You can also do this manually by starting up the menu bar and select run option. 

• • You can see a program.Now click on the Create new Self Extraction Directive file & click on the next button.

                                      

After clicking next it will show like below.It's wanting to know about the purpose of the package.Extract files and run an installation command :This  helps you to install  temporary folder & it will be launched by another installer.

Extract files only:This will help you to install your program on a fixed location.

Create compressed files only (ActiveX Installs):This will help you to compress your files on .cab but it will not make any installer for your program.

We have to select Extract files only & then press the next button for another step.

                                       

• Now give a tittle of your installer.You can choose any tittle if you want.After choosing a title press next.

                                       

• In this new box you can select any command that will show during installation.an example:Are you sure you want to install this? Or other massage.But I think it is better to select no prompt option. Select it & then press next option.  

                                       

• You can now see a License agreement option.If you want to show any License agreement,then you can select from this.In this case save your License agreement in a text file and locate it with the add option. After this select next button.

                                        

• Now you can see a packaged file window.
• In this window you can add your files.So,in this case add your file's that you want in your installer.Do this step carefully.Add all the needed program in this box.If any file gets missed your software will not work properly as anyone can understand this.

                                      

•  Now  a box named show option will appear.Here you can see four options.They are:          

          Default (recommended):If you don't understand what to do then you may select this. 

         Hidden:Using this option, your program will remain hidden.No one can see what is  working.

         Minimized: Using this option your installer will remain minimized.

        Maximized:Using this option your installer will remain maximized.

         

       We may choose the default option as we want to create a standard installer. Select it and next.

                                      

•  Now another window will appear.You can add any finish message if you want.I think it is better to show a finish message after installation like You have successfully installed the software! For this you have to choose Display message and add your message. If you add any message, then add it and press next for another step.

                                     

•  Now select the location that you want to save your installer. Choose anywhere you want.
• You can hide the proggess animation,but I suggest you not to do that because without it it will seem boring. If you want,you can also select not to store long file names on your installer. After doing all this select next option.

                                  

                                  
                                     

• Now in this option, it want's to save SED (Self Extraction Directive). I think it is better to have SED (Self Extraction Directive) file as you are adding or minusing a program. So,you may have a SED (Self Extraction Directive) file for future need.

          

  

•  Now Create Package option will appear.This is the final confirmation option.If you did all the steps correctly then select next button for last confirmation. 

                                         

• After all the steps a cmd will appear & after that  you can see a window like this.. After last processing select finish button .

                                          

• After finishing the process, go to your location where you have saved your installer.It will look like this:

                                             

All is done. Now create lots of software and show your friends that you can create software.
